This blog will deal with the UK Commercial Property Market – with occasional reflections on the Residential Market – concentrating much of the time on the role of property finance and banks in the market. There will also be comments on recent news stories about commercial and residential property, banking and investment markets. Occasionally there will be reflections upon Management Structures and Techniques.
Whilst it is run by Richard Lovell, it is also hoped that there will be guest contributors commenting on whatever aspect of the markets that they choose. Guest contributors may choose aliases or post under their own names, as they feel comfortable.
The purpose is to post frank and occasionally controversial views in order to stimulate debate, new thought processes and possibly, change.
Views expressed may not be consistent with those of the Blogmaster, but that won’t prevent their publication.
Finally, this website is dedicated to the memory of Alastair Ross Goobey, former Chief Executive of Hermes (one of Britain’s biggest pension funds), an inspiration and a supporter of APB, as well as speaker at the first APB Annual Dinner.
